Lot #73. Fontaine-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet Cailleret 2011

Description: Consists of 12 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 93+ JG.
"I love Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard’s version of Caillerets, which is probably my favorite premier cru in all of Chassagne. The 2011 is outstanding, offering up a deep and classically youthful aromatic mélange of apple, pear, tangerine, complex, chalky minerality, orange blossoms, citrus zest and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure, with a superb core of fruit, a classic sense of reserve, snappy acids, laser-like focus and simply superb length and grip on the elegant and still quite primary finish. This will be a terrific wine." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2012, Issue #42
Provenance: The Sea Cliff Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $750
