Lot #888. Jakob Schneider Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese #20 2013

Description: Consists of 8 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 92 WA.
"Do you want your Spätlese juicy, sweet and sensual but also, elegant, racy, straight and piquant? The 2013 Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese is a serious wine for you then. It is cool, precise and mineral on the nose but also fruit intense and inviting. The 8.5% alcohol wine starts elegant, sweet and fruit-intense on the palate and develops a mineral tension, straightforwardness and purity that is really remarkable. The finish is pure and salty and reveals an animating grip. This is an excellent Spätlese with an aging potential of 20 years, maybe more." Wine Advocate Interim, May 2015
Provenance: The Sea Cliff Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $250
