92 RP. "The 1997 Shiraz (yields from 30-year old vines were two tons per acre) tips the scales at a whopping 15.2% alcohol. The high alcohol is barely noticable given the wine's wealth of fruit, dense ruby/purple color, and bouquet of rose petals, blackberry liqueur, pepper, and truffles. Deep and full-bodied, with an unctuous texture, superb density, and low acidity." Wine Advocate #127, Feb 2000 |
