97 JG. "The king of the cellar is going to be outstanding in 2002, but this is the norm at the home of the world’s greatest example of le Montrachet. The nose is still quite primary, but complex at the same time, soaring from the glass in a mélange of pear, sweet limes, a bit of passion fruit, mint, kaleidoscopic minerals, incipient notes of butter and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full and multi-leveled, with a rock solid core of fruit, laser-like focus, and stunning length and grip on the finish. A great wine in the making, as usual."
