"Medium ruby, with some bricking on the rim, but otherwise showing very little signs of its age. The aromatic nose displays menthol, anise, and delicate, sweet flavors of dried cherries, finishing with tremendous freshness and a seamless, long and fresh finish. Tasted blind, I would have never guessed this was a 40+ year old wine." Wine Journal, Mar 2005
