93+ JG. "The 2015 Corton “Perrière” from Domaine Méo-Camuzet is also an outstanding example of the vintage, with some whole clusters included this year. The bouquet is deep, primary and nicely reserved in profile, offering up a quite black fruity blend of dark berries, black cherries, espresso, soil tones, woodsmoke, venison and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite primary in personality, with a rock solid core, fine-grained tannins and excellent length and grip on the focused and soil-driven finish. I did not take note of how much new wood was used for the Perrière, but I imagine it was similar to the Vignes Cents." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2016, Issue #66 |
