Lot #18. Lynch-Bages 1978

Description: Consists of 6 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 92 NM.
"Light colour than others and a more open-knit nose, tobacco and cigar box and with time in the glass: burnt toast, a touch of melted toffee. The 1978 Lynch Bages has a very smooth entry on the palate, lovely balance between austerity and concentration. Good acidity...this is quintessential English claret. Blackberry, spice and a touch of pepper. Good persistency towards the caramel, savoury finish. Excellent…I was shocked when the vintage was revealed!" Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Mar 2010
Provenance: The Agneau Cellar
Notes: 1 Base neck, 2 very top shoulder, 2 top shoulder, 1 high shoulder, lightly corroded, 3 nicked capsules, bin soiled, damp stained, lightly faded, lightly scuffed, nicked labels.
