"A spicy nose of black and blue berry fruits that displays hints of wood influence, anise, clove and tea that merges into rich and exceptionally ripe flavors oozing with extract of black plum and chocolate. For my tastes, this is almost too ripe yet there is excellent acid support on the lively finish. A curious wine that is not really my style but for those who enjoy very ripe burgundy that remains balanced, this will interest you as the overall quality is not in question."
