Lot #20. Méo-Camuzet Frère et Sœurs Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes 2006

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 89-91 JG.
". . . In contrast to the Argillières above, the premier cru of Feusselottes is one of the warmer sites in Chambolle, and this was the first parcel harvested by Jean-Nicolas Méo when they got started in the third week in September. Despite being harvested first, the Feusselottes still came in at fourteen percent alcohol, and the wine was much more closed than any of the preceding premier crus. The nose is a reluctant mélange of dark berries, chocolate, earth, woodsmoke and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, closed and firm, with good length, and plenty of well-integrated tannins on the finish. This will take a good decade to resolve, and could prove to be even better than I rate it today . . ." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2007, Issue #12
Provenance: The Sea Cliff Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $90
