Lot #4. Hudelot-Noëllat Romanée-Saint-Vivant 2005

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 94+ ST.
"Good deep red. Knockout perfume of strawberry, violet and cocoa powder, complemented by sweet oak. Sappy, spicy and deep, with a compelling sweetness leavened by firm minerality. Wonderfully silky in texture and graceful. Highly complex flavors of raspberry, leather, smoke and mineral stain the back end with subtle perfume. This struck me as like a more pliant version of the Beaumonts but with the powerful mineral and tannic spine for a 20-year-evolution in bottle." Vinous, Mar. 2008
Provenance: The Sea Cliff Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $375
