92-94 NM. "First tasted in March 2003 at the domaine. Very deep ruby colour. Ripe rounded plums and cherries on the nose. Very concentrated , minerally and decadent like the Brulees. Little to choose between them at the moment - both will give much pleasure. Tasted again in London in Apr-06. A lovely nose with plum, cherry and mulberry fruit, touch of leather evolving. A very cohesive palate: velvety smooth, minerally and opulent. Silky texture. Just a touch of hardness on the finish, but very promising." Wine Journal, Dec 1999 |
