"The 2009 Les Cras from Christophe Roumier is really stunning, as it soars from the glass in a vibrant mélange of sappy red and black cherries, raw cocoa, woodsmoke, gamebirds, a bit of mustard seed, complex soil tones and violets. On the palate the wine is deep, pure and full-bodied, with a lovely plushness to the attack, a great core of fruit, very refined, suave tannins, bright acids and impeccable balance on the very, very long and seamless finish.
