"From a small 0.17 ha parcel situated directly below Perrières that was planted in 1963. This is already quite expressive with its pretty array of white peach, dried apricot, apple and floral scents. This is notably tight and particularly so for the vintage with rich yet focused and intense medium weight flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality that adds lift to the clean, dry and balanced finish that displays more than a touch of youthful austerity. In fact this is borderline racy and is perhaps a bit less Charmes in style than usual at present though I suspect that it will flesh out considerably once its allowed a few years of cellar time."
