92-94 NM. "The Chaumes is quite reserved on the nose with stony scents more noticeable that the red cherry and raspberry leaf, a hint of tomato vine just in the background. The new oak (50%) is more pronounced on the front palate than the Village, but the density and length suggests that this Chaumes will carry that without problem. Very harmonious, very polished towards the finish with cherry, raspberry and a touch of vanilla lingering on the back-palate. Tasted November 2010." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Mar 2011 |
