95-97 WA. "The 2010 Chambertin bursts onto the palate with rich layers of cassis, spices, licorice and white flowers. It boasts gorgeous textural depth and richness in a round, voluptuous style that covers every corner of the palate. The Chambertin is one of the bigger, racier Grand Crus from this property. There is so much fruit that the perception of tannin is virtually non-existent, but there is plenty of underlying structure. A huge, explosive, mineral-drenched finish rounds out the stunning finish. This is a marvelously complete wine with all of its elements in the right place . . . . I tasted an amazing range of 2010 reds at Jadot with long-term winemaker Jacques Lardiere and his successor Frederic Barnier . . . . Yields are down 25-50% because of the frost and cold weather earlier in the year, but overall quality is very high." Wine Advocate #199, Dec 2011 |
