"Bright, dark yellow. Pure but subdued aromas of peach, white flowers, spices, hazelnut and wet stone. Fresh, round and ripe, with firm minerality giving the palate and aftertaste a sappy, almost lemony quality. Very suave, long and saline fiano, with a palate-saturating finish and repeating lemon and floral nuances. The greco is usually owner's Sabino Loffredo's best wine, but not in 2012. Pietracupa has to be considered one of Italy's top 20 white wine producers." Vinous, Mar 2014 |
