95+ ST. "Good full red. Lovely precision to the aromas of cherry and minerals. Sweet on entry, then high-pitched and penetrating in the middle palate, with a strong acid/tannin spine providing energy and support. This wonderfully silky and perfumed wine is completely different in texture from the Gaiun. Perhaps best today on the rising, palate-staining finish, which features a whiplash of cherry, raspberry and orange peel flavors and a vibrant mineral dust quality. Reminded me of an Anne Gros Clos Vougeot. One of the purest and most perfumed wines I tasted on my tour." Vinous, Nov 2009 |
