93-95 JG. "The 2006 Vaudésir, as is the case with the other two Louis Michel grand crus, was waiting in tank for bottling some time soon after the holidays. It is a terrific wine in 2006, as it delivers a complex and beautiful aromatic mélange of apple, lime, pink grapefruit, flint and wet stones. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and powerfully built, with great nascent complexity, excellent mid-palate depth and a very long, racy and soil-driven finish. Really a superb and intensely flavored wine, particularly on the backend." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2007, Issue #12 |
