Lot #2743. Seven Stones Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Description: Consists of 6 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 98 RP.
"The final blend of the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aaron Potts is the guru behind the winemaking and he definitely knows how to get the most out of this special terroir. Wonderful aromatics of blackberry, blackcurrant, sweet cherries, unsmoked cigar tobacco and graphite jump from the glass of this opaque purple wine. The vineyard is planted in the white Tufa volcanic rock of the region. Thick, opaque purple color to the rim, the wine is full-bodied, but has a sumptuous texture with adequate acidity and finely grained, integrated tannin. Like so many of the top 2014s, it is sexy, irresistible already, should drink well young and evolve for 20-25 or more years. This is a brilliant wine. High above the St. Helena hillsides, above the Meadowood Resort with an imposing view of the entire middle and southern Napa Valley floor and the Mayacamas Mountains to the west, this vineyard sits at an elevation of 700 to 800 feet."
