92+ JG. "The 2011 Lavaux St. Jacques from Maison Jadot has perfectly captured the refinement of the vintage and is trés fine this year. The superb bouquet wafts from the glass in a classy blend of black cherries, dark berries, woodsmoke, espresso, black minerality, cocoa, vanillin oak and a dollop of rose petals in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and utterly classic, with great transparency down to those dark soil tones, a superb core of fruit, ripe tannins and outstanding length and grip on the focused and youthful finish. High class juice that will age beautifully. (Drink between 2022-2060)" View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2012, Issue #42 |
