"Deep ruby-red. Very ripe aromas of raspberry liqueur, smoke and truffle, plus a whiff of resiny oak that quickly blew off. Lush and sweet on entry, then dense and impressive in the middle, with very concentrated, supersweet fruit enlivened by well-integrated acidity. This is silky for Beaune wine but has excellent cut and verve. The very suave tannins reach the teeth on the very long finish. A superb young Beaune wine." Vinous, Mar 2008 |
