Lot #18. Talbot 1982

Description: Consists of 8 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 95 RP.
"Along with the 1986, the 1982 is one of the greatest Talbots ever made. Far more evolved than its stablemate, Gruaud Larose, it exhibits a dense garnet color to the rim along with a huge, sweet, exotic nose of charcoal, beef blood, licorice, herbs, and black fruits. A hint of figs suggests borderline overripeness, but the wine remains fleshy and full-bodied with sweet tannin and an expansive, heady mouthfeel. While fully mature, it should hold" Wine Advocate # 183, Jun 2009
Provenance: The Chanteur Cellar
Notes: 3 base neck, 5 very top shoulder, lightly scuffed and lightly corroded capsules, 5 slightly recessed corks, scuffed, 6 bin soiled, 2 heavily bin soiled, 3 torn, 2 heavily torn and 1 lightly torn labels, 2 wine stained, 1 lightly wine stained and 5 mold stained labels.
