94 JG. "The 2011 Chapelle is another very deep, ripe and sappy wine, with the customary opulence of a young Ponsot wine very much in evidence in this vintage. The superb nose is a blend of red and black cherries, dark chocolate, a touch of grilled meat, a beautiful base of soil and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very sappy at the core, with lovely focus and nascent complexity, suave tannins and beautiful length and grip on the very pure finish. This is lovely."
