96 NM. "The 2008 Pichon-Longueville Baron has a refined and focused bouquet with classic blackberry, mint and graphite aromas that gather momentum with aeration. The palate is beautifully balanced with pure black fruit, a fine bead of acidity, quite an intense finish with layers of graphite-infused black fruit that linger on and on. Wow. This is one of the most impressive Pauillac wines this vintage. If I were to rush out and buy one 2008 Bordeaux it may well be this. (Tasted at BI Wine & Spirit’s annual 10-Year On tasting.)"
