Lot #19. Brane-Cantenac 1985

Description: Consists of 11 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 92 NM.
"Deep garnet core with tawny rim. A gorgeous nose when first poured from the glass. Iron filings, fig compote and a little raspberry. Quite lush and very well-defined. Reminds me of a Pomerol in many ways. The palate is medium-bodied, very well-balanced with that typical fleshy core of fruit. Quite savory, irony, complex with a little dryness on the finish. This is a wonderful 1985 although it faded in the glass. Drinking perfectly now but will last . . ." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Dec 1999
Provenance: The Chanteur Cellar
Notes: 5 base neck, 3 very top shoulder, 3 top shoulder, corroded and scuffed capsules, bin soiled, scuffed, lightly mold stained, wrinkled, 8 lightly torn and 2 torn labels.
