94 JG. "The 2014 les Cailles from the Chevillon family is equally stunning. The bouquet is deep, pure and remarkably vibrant, jumping from the glass in a blaze of cherries, pomegranate, nutskin, woodsmoke, gamebird, stunning minerality and a deft framing of new wood. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with great elegance and depth, laser-like focus and a very long, tangy and ripely tannic finish. An absolutely superb and classic example of les Cailles." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2015, Issue #60 |
