"The 2015 Julienas Vayolette showed much better one year on from my previous encounter. It has a very pure and quite seductive bouquet, with a mixture if red and black fruit, blackberry, licorice and a mote of chalk dust. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, well judged acidity, gently gripping the mouth and leaving a lovely blood orange note on the long finish. It has more substance, matière than the nascent 2016, and it should drink well for a number of years." Wine Advocate #232, Aug 2017 |
