92 NM. "Tasted at L'Eglise-Clinet, the 2009 is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. It has a very powerful, lifted bouquet with blackberry, wild hedgerow and a touch of dried blood. The palate is medium-bodied but with very good weight and vigour. Fine purity here, raspberry, wild strawberry and a touch of spice coming through towards the finish. Great persistency with a hint of Schezhuan pepper on the aftertaste. Tasted September 2011." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Jan 2012 |
