91 VM. "The 2015 Desmirail has a nicely detailed bouquet with blackberry, briary and iris aromas, gaining intensity in the glass, a Margaux with commendable presence. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin. This is saline in the mouth, quite brine-like towards the finish but I appreciate the length and persistence here. This fulfils the promise that it showed out of barrel and constitutes one of the longer-term Margaux wines. Tasted at the Oenoconseil tasting room in Bordeaux." Vinous, February 2018 |
