Lot #2801. Schäfer-Fröhlich Riesling Kabinett #9 2002

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Region: Germany, Nahe.
Score: . VM.
"The Fröhlichs are still expanding and in this instance have acquired a piece of better-known acreage. (Not that their wines from Bockenau and Monzingen are wanting in either terroir or taste. ) Apparently, the vineyard designation may be left off the label used for the U.S. Citrus and brown spices in the nose. Pear nectar and candied lemon on the palate. This offers refined layers of minerality and tart red fruit accents, both of which crescendo into a forceful finish." Vinous, Jan 2004
Provenance: The Alton Cellar
Notes: Inventory sticker on capsule, nicked, lightly scuffed, lightly bin soiled label.
