Lot #157. Dugat-Py Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2002

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 97-100 WA.
"Produced from 80-year-old vines planted at a 14,000 vines per hectare density, the 2002 Chambertin is whole-cluster fermented because of the tiny amount produced and crushed by foot by Bernard’s son Loic. Its waxy black cherry aromas are intermingled with notes of tar, licorice, mint, and spices. Viscous, hugely powerful, and dense, it saturates the palate with rocks, herbs, coffee, and black fruit pastes. Immensely concentrated and profound, it must be tasted to be believed, yet since only 198 liters (about 260 bottles) of this amazing elixir were produced in 2002, only the wealthiest and luckiest wine enthusiasts will ever experience it . . . . Bravo!" Wine Advocate #153, Jun 2004
Notes: Nicked capsule, very lightly scuffed, nicked label.
