"The impressive 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon is made from a vineyard situated just above the renowned Grace Family Vineyard. A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 12% Cabernet Franc, the wine is aged 30 months in oak casks (of which 45% are new), and is bottled without filtration. The wine exhibits a healthy, deep ruby/purple color, and an emerging nose of gorgeously sweet blackcurrant fruit nicely touched by new wood. Tannic, backward, and rich, as well as authoritatively-flavored and promising, this full-bodied, muscular Cabernet Sauvignon." Wine Advocate #98, Apr 1995 |
