92 WA. "My favorite of the lineup was the 2009 Limoux Domaine de Baron’Arques and it offered beautiful notes of cassis, lead pencil, tobacco and spice in a medium to full-bodied, layered, upfront style. I don’t think it will be the longest lived effort, but it will certainly offer up tons of pleasure over the coming 4-5 years or so. The blend is 61% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Syrah and the rest Franc and Malbec, all of which was aged in 25% new barrels." Wine Advocate #224, Apr 2016 |
