"Better than the '05, the 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Mon Aieul was firing on all cylinders (and has been since release), and while it has plenty of life ahead of it, there's no need to hold off either. Black raspberries, blackberry, spice, ground herbs and garrigue give way to an unctuous, concentrated and layered Chateauneuf du Pape that has no hard edges and overflowing charm.
