Lot #562. Hacienda Monasterio Crianza 1995

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 92 RP.
"This project, from a large estate in Ribera del Duero, has the gifted Danish winemaker, Peter Sisseck (of Pingus fame), as the winemaker. Produced from extremely low yields (15-20 hectoliters per hectare), this offering is a blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. This wine is a sexy, exotic wine that could be called Spanish Pomerol. The 1995 Crianza (14.6% alcohol) presents a saturated plum color, followed by a knock-out nose of melted chocolate and blackberry fruit, a lush, voluptuous texture, low acidity, and gobs of glycerin and fruit. This hedonistic wine is ideal for drinking . . ." Wine Advocate #127, Feb 2000
Provenance: The Hanseatic Cellar
Notes: Very lightly scuffed, very lightly bin soiled label.
