95 JG. "The Domaine Bart Clos de Bèze had also been racked three weeks prior to my visit, but it too was showing very well indeed. The superb and utterly refined nose soars from the glass in a mélange of cassis, dark berries, coffee bean, grilled meat, black minerality, fresh herb tones, woodsmoke and a nice touch of cedary wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and beautifully transparent, with a sappy core of black fruit, laser-like focus, ripe, fine-grained tannins and outstanding length and grip on the tangy and youthful finish. A superb wine." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Jun 2012 |
