89 WSM. "Guadalupe is the northernmost valley in Baja California, two hours south of San Diego. That's where the tempranillo, merlot, syrah, grenache and viognier has been grown for this eclectic blend. It's so ripe it's almost port-like, with chocolate and strawberry notes built into a dense, fat texture supported by sweet, round tannins. Slightly chilled, it would be a good match for chile con carne." Wine & Spirits Magazine, Feb 2006 |
