95 JG. "The 2011 Richebourg from Domaine Méo-Camuzet is stunning, soaring from the glass in a classy blend of black cherries, plums, dark chocolate, a touch of violets, a lovely base of soil, fresh herbs and a judicious base of spicy oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and sports lovely depth at the core, with a very refined personality, lovely, nascent complexity, fine-grained tannins and superb grip on the young, transparent and laser-like finish. This is a stellar young Richebourg that may end up stylistically quite similar to the lovely 1993 version." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2012, Issue #42 |
