95 JG. "The 2007 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne was showing outstanding potential at the time of my February visit, with a cool fruit and very precise profile that augured extremely well for its cellaring potential. The bouquet is a fine mélange of apple, lemon, white flowers, a discreet framing of vanillin oak and an absolutely profound base of chalky, stony soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very, very pure, with laser-like focus, a great core of fruit and an absolute blade of minerality running through the wine. The finish is very long, very crisp and snappy, with perfect balance and great transparency and cut. A stellar vintage for this consistently excellent wine."
