"This wine is this firm's finest. Produced from a parcel just below the Grand Echezeaux vineyard, this medium-to-dark ruby-colored wine has aromas of cassis, blackberries, Asian spices, and mocha. It is an extremely refined, medium-to-full-bodied, juicy, and thickly-textured wine full of deeply ripe dark fruits and roasted herbs . . . . . crisp, well-delineated wine . . ." Wine Advocate #118, Aug 1998
