". . . outstanding in this vintage, offering up a superb bouquet of sappy black cherries, pomegranate, dark soil tones, smoke, gamebirds, cocoa, nutskins and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very transparent, with a sappy core of fruit, lovely focus and grip and excellent length on the ripely-tannic and very soil-driven finish. This is a beautiful synthesis of the elegance of the vintage and the sturdy nature of this vineyard, and it will be an outstanding wine in the fullness of time."
