91 JG. "The 2016 Trés Girard was completely destemmed by Laurent Lignier and this was one of the later wines to finish up its malo, with it coming to a bubbling conclusion in July of 2017. The wine has turned out beautifully, delivering a superb and sappy bouquet of black cherries, plums, dark chocolate, gamebird, dark soil tones and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and very sappy in personality, with lovely elegance and breed, suave tannin and a long, tangy finish. Fine, fine AC."
