Lot #34. Léoville-Las Cases 1970

Description: Consists of 1 Half Bottle, 0.375L
Score: 95 JGWA.
"Quite a deep colour. Lovely expressive, firm taut nose. Savoury yet complex and inviting. Still tight-wound with dark fruits evident and a savoury, earthy edge. The palate is concentrated and dense; it’s still quite youthful with really impressive, firm structure. The acidity and tannic structure leaves it a bit austere on the finish, but this is a lovely, serious clart. Needs quite a bit more time. Excellent." Jamie Goode, WineAnorak.com, Mar 2005
Provenance: The Matador Cellar
Notes: Upper mid shoulder, bin soiled, lightly corroded, nicked capsule, damp stained, bin soiled, scuffed, lightly mold stained label.
