95 AM. "This remains quite seductive with extract of pinot and spice aromas that merge seamlessly into sappy, mouth coating, big, robust and very powerful flavors with nary a trace of the rusticity and rough tannins that young Richebourg often displays. This seems to ooze cassis from start to finish and the persistent has to be experienced to be believed though the wine remains backward if not severe or astringent. In terms of its evolution, even at 9 years of age this remains quite youthful though not forbidding and personally, I would continue to cellar the '01 Riche for at least another 6 to 10 years as it has not yet reached its full, and considerable, potential."
