94+ WA. "A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon with 3% Petit Verdot, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored and decadently scented of preserved plums, chocolate box and blueberry pie with nuances of violets, pencil lead and bay leaves. Full-bodied and completely packed with muscular fruit, it has a solid frame of grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and layered. 710 cases produced. The first vintage from this dynamic duo of good pals Françoise Peschon (formerly of Araujo Estate and now with Bart and Daphne’s new project, Accendo Cellars) and Lisa Drinkward (of Behrens & Hitchcock) was 2000. This “Entre Deux Mères” label is a blend of fruit from three Napa Valley vineyards in Calistoga, St. Helena and Oak Knoll." Wine Advocate #237, Jun 2018 |
