93 JG. "The 2005 Les Moriers bottling from the Chignard family is a deep and stunning example of the vintage, with a more black fruity and powerful personality than is often the case with this Fleurie bottling, but with no rough edges to be smoothed over with bottle age. The bouquet offers up a superb blend of red and black cherries, cocoa, violets, vinesmoke and a deft underpinning of minerality. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, plush and sweet, with classic shape and balance, and great purity and focus on the very long, succulent and exuberant finish."
