"Brick rim with a noticeable heavy sediment. Dense tobacco nose, ripe . . . . Typical 1975 with firm tannins that appear to have only just softened. Marked acidity but fine depth. Ripe black tobacco fruit and wild strawberry. Not subtle but an impressive 1975 and remarkably good value. Very fine." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Jan 2002
