92 NM. "Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Bouilland. The 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Blanchots-Dessus has a pleasant reduction on the nose, maintaining impressive delineation and poise, very detailed, a bouquet with a spring in its step. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, plenty of tension here with vibrant citrus fruit laced with orange zest and ginger, leading to a focused and quite sustained finish that has plenty of coiled-up energy. This is bang on the money. Tasted May 2016." Wine Advocate Interim, Nov 2016 |
