91 RP. "The most serious effort from this estate, as well as the most expensive, is the 2001 The Hattrick, a blend of 50% Shiraz, 43% Grenache, and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon. It possesses a deep ruby/purple color, tremendous fruit, a flowery component on the palate, and surprising elegance as well as definition. Although it sees 70% new oak (mostly French), the wood is well-integrated." Wine Advocate #148, Aug 2003 |
