Lot #7. Louis Latour (Domaine) Corton-Charlemagne 1992

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 93 RP.
"Latour's terrific 1992 Corton-Charlemagne is a worthy rival to the firm's great 1990, 1989, and 1986. It is the most powerful, richest, and deepest wine in Latour's portfolio. There is plenty of smoky, toasty new oak, a forceful, earthy, peach, melon, orange, and buttery apple-scented nose, deep flavors that cut a bold, dramatic swath, and a long finish with crisp acidity . . . . This famous negociant/vineyard owner, founded in 1797, has made very fine 1992s. The big wines, such as the top premier crus and grand crus, spend a year in 100% new oak and have considerable lees contact for the first 7-8 months, although there is no stirring, or so-called "bâtonage," practiced. Latour's 1992s will be released in late fall, 1993." Wine Advocate #89, Oct 1993
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $110
